This week we will be spending our final week with our baby chicks. It has been a wonderful experience for the children and I am anxious to do it again next spring. I contemplated keeping our babies but I am just not equipped to do so this year. I believe next year we will hatch chicks and be prepared to keep them. Bill and I will have a house outdoors for them. The children can then help with the duties involved in caring for chickens.

Our babies went back to the farm today, it was a great learning experience. We will be hatching eggs again in the fall. We also were invited out to see the chicks at their farm. They have baby goats, baby pigs and other farm animals. We will be doing this the latter part of June.
