This week we chose to color rainbows to send to Owen. It turned out to be a very educational week. As we read about rainbows we learned that each color symbolizes different feelings and emotions. What a perfect choice! The children are learning so much compassion through this Facebook Journey.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My kiddos got a "Shout Out" from Owen's Family on Facebook! They were so excited and so was I we just had to share..... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Update: this is from yesterday March 1st. We started out rough but the day only got better. Everytime Owen has his feeding he gets really sick to his stomach so that prevented him from participating in half of his therapy yesterday. His mom got his formula changed though by the end of the day so we will see if that helps. He made it to his last speech session though thank goodness because he passed and got his ice chips back. The poor kid has cuts on in his tongue and it feels all swollen from being so dry. He sat up in his chair and in the morning he had tunnel vision and had to lay back down. But by afternoon he actually held his head up on his own! We celebrated with me dancing which he really loved! Jesse has to go back to work Monday so we had to make a tough decision. Since Owen can only have two caretakers on the list because of covid and I can’t be there everyday because I need to be with my other babies sometimes. We decided as a family to take Jesse off and add my mom. Jesse can still come to the apartment and talk to him from the window but it still stinks. We have a big week ahead. He has a swallow test Wednesday which determines if he can drink or eat anytime soon. Then Thursday is the Asia test which determines where he is at now with getting mobility back. We are praying for an incomplete conclusion for that Asia test. Thanks for all your card and prayers and donations. Your kind positive words are what get us through the rough times! I want to give a special shout out to the little ones following Owens story from Western hills child daycare in Manhattan Kansas! Owen loved your Care Bears
