My children do their morning work every day. It consists of getting acquainted with using pencils, crayons, markers and scissors. The older children have workbooks which they work on daily. They are free to use dry erase boards, paper, card stock, envelopes, whatever is available in the art shelf. We have organized cutting and drawing time and then they are free to do what they choose with the materials I have available. I encourage the children to cut up magazines, color, draw and use their imagination. Fine motor skills are very important to the development of children.
