Western Hills Child Daycare....made a difference!
All of the surgical wraps which we had stockpiled prior to the Pandemic are sewn into "Blue Bags!" We have 74 bags with sleeping bags, ponchos, blankets, and socks heading for Topeka today. They will be providing them to the homeless during their annual Point and Count Census in January.

Friday, June 25th, the kids and I have provided the Lutheran Church 10 filled "Blue Bags," and 28 empty bags. We have began our production of Sharing is Caring at 100%; however, I am taking all of the necessary precautions! Bill picks up the blue bags for me on Fridays and they bring the bags to him through the ER entrance. We are not entering ViaChristi at all. Once the bags are brought home we leave them in the hot sunshine for at least 3 days before the kids remove the tape.

Friday, December 6th, I picked up 3 bags of sterile wraps. The kids love to tear the tape off of them and sort sizes. This provides seriously, hours of entertainment for the kids. Not to mention an opportunity to talk about "why" we are collecting our sterile wraps.
What a great way to start a holiday week! 20 "Blue Bags" are heading to Catholic Charities in Topeka today!
