This week we will continue to learn about baby chickens. The children will be coloring pages for their chicken books which they will be taking home in a couple of weeks. We are planning to visit Stoneybrook Retirement Home on Monday. We have a couple of nature walks planned so the children can look for birds, squirrels and rabbits. They also enjoy looking at the flowers that are popping up since our rain over the weekend.
Today we made hand print chickens and Do A Dot roosters. The children were to follow specific directions when dotting the roosters.
Color by Number Chicks and Colorful Roosters for our Chick Books were the children's project for today
Tracing our hands for chicken wings and making baby chicks was a fun activity for the kids today. Once all of their hands were traced I cut out all of the pieces necessary for the baby chick. The children were responsible for assembling them properly.
Since we were going to meet Bill Snyder and the KSU Football Players, we decided to bake cookies!
